For its 10th season, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Series, Outstanding Makeup for a Multi-camera series and four nominations for Outstanding Choreography. SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE features host Cat Deeley and resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. Last season’s guest judges included two-time Emmy Award-winning choreographer Paula Abdul, FOX Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews, comedian Wayne Brady, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, breakout pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen, actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and actresses Christina Applegate and Anna Kendrick. Each two-hour show included stellar performances as well as eliminations. Two contestants – one guy and one girl – Amy Yakima and Fik-Shun Stegall – won the competition.SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE traveled across the country to Austin, Boston, Detroit, Memphis and Los Angeles in search of 10 males and 10 females from the thousands who auditioned. Those who shined during auditions were given a ticket to Las Vegas for callbacks, where they worked with top choreographers to learn and then be judged on multiple styles of dance.
